Jai’s Blog

Today, Jai received her first professional salon service at Black Butterflies.  After Miss Faith gave her a “menu” of style ideas to choose from, she finally decided on “coils”.  We were definitely proud parents as she sat at the shampoo bowl and styling chair like a Big Girl!  Daddy “freshened up” his do, too!  Miss Michelle gave him something “fresh” for his fresh start! This has been a busy few weeks for us.  But we pulled off our first big cookout in our new house.  We invited family and had a great time.  Jai got to meet the only cousin’s daddy grew up with in Virginia.  The Hall Family.  Click the link for more pictures.

Well Gee-Gee is a real grandma now…she is retired.  She has taught elementary school for over 30 years.  That’s a lot of kids. She even taught  NBA player, Alonzo Morning, while he went to Chesapeake schools.

Ms Carter and friends threw Mom a party, I was the digital d.j., and with an ipod they did the electric slide and cha cha slide all night.

Jai went to a Memorial Day ceremony at the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery where her pop pop is laid to rest.

Then afterwards a cook out with the family at Gee-Gee’s house!

Jai Lynn and Gee-Gee flew to Oklahoma this last week.  She has a huge family there, and she got to meet a few of her Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. 

Jai celebrated Easter with the family in Oklahoma.  It was also Grandma Wheetie’s birthday, so there was a lot to be happy about.

Gee Gee took so many pictures that I might have to split them into a few post, to ease the load on bandwidth.
